Thank you to...

- - - - 2006 - - - - Thank you to David Curtis who took on two huge challenges in aid of AVUK. He ran the Nike 10K Hyde Park Run and a Sprint Triathlon (400m swim, 20k bike & 5k run) and raised over £1000! We are so impressed by your effort - thank you David! Thank you to John Tyszkiewicz who took on the Badwater Ultramarathon in aid of AVUK. He has raised over an incredible £4,500 - thank you John! AVUK would like to send a very special thank you to Francesca Woolgar. Over the last few years Francesca has been a constant supporter of AVUK. In addition to organising numerous fundraising ventures she has donated toys and many hours of her time to us. We have so appreciated having her help out at the centre on bank holidays and during the school holidays, and she has been invaluable in running creches for our AV children at the summer picnics. We are particularly impressed by the way Francesca has inspired others to get involved in helping us too! Thanks to Francesca we are supported by a group of several young people who not only come along to help with the creches but also go off and undertake their own fundraising ventures. Thank you Frannie! A huge thank you to Alice Eccles who organised " RAINING MEN: a day of family fun!" in aid of AVUK. It was a big success and we very much enjoyed the day! Alice raised a fantastic £500 which has been used to start a new bursary fund for low income families. - - - - 2005 - - - - Thank you to Carol singers Wendy, Alice, Adam, Francesca, and Leo, who raised a fantastic £140 in one evening's carol singing in Kirtlington, Oxon. A huge thank you to the staff of Liontrust Asset Management, a UK fund management company, who raised an amazing £2000 for AVUK at their Christmas Charity Auction! Thank you to everyone who made donations to AVUK instead of buying us a Christmas present this year! We are overwhelmed by your generosity.

A huge thank you to John Tyszkiewicz who ran the 153 Mile Spartathlon in aid of Hearing Help and Auditory Verbal UK! Here is a picture of him after his gruelling challenge! Ian ran the London marathon this year and donated over £1200 of his sponsorship to AVUK. We are so impressed with the effort of running and collecting! Thank you Ian. Thanks to Madie and her class, 13X, at Oxford High School GDST who organised a mufty day and hugely popular dance idol competition in aid of AVUK. Thanks also to Francesca and her class, 8O, at Oxford High School who held a very successful cake sale in aid of AVUK. Thanks are also due to Jess and her class, 12O, at the same school who also held a cake sale. Together these three classes raised an amazing £1000 for our charity! Thanks also to Heather for donating the proceeds from her Pampered Chef evening. A big thank you to James Curtis and his class for raising £350! They put on a play called 'Happy Hat Land' and donated all the proceeds from the programme! We would also like to thank Sophie and her friends at Port Regis School for giving up their pocket money in aid of AVUK. They raised £120! This will be used to buy toys for the babies who come here.
